Entry is allowed for visitors aged 16+. Visitors aged under 16, even if accompanied by a guardian, are not permitted to enter the event.
Admission to the VIP Experience ‘FEAR Inc.’, The Fordbidden and Eden Manor are restricted to guests aged 18+.
Do I have to buy an online ticket?
It is recommended to purchase tickets online in advance.
Traumatica is an evening event in a defined area of Europa-Park. The number of guests in the event area is strictly limited due to limited capacity. Experience has shown that the dates for the end of October sell out quickly.
There is a box office on site if there are any remaining tickets. However, it cannot be guaranteed that tickets will be available at the box office.
What can I experience at the event?
At Traumatica, visitors are walking through a dark area of the park which is packed with masked and made-up, scary live actors.
The main attraction are 6 horror houses, 3 themed walk-through areas as well as an immersive story world which features shock-effects as well as sounds and light effects. The Greek themed area is accessible in parts and some attractions of Europa-Park can be used.
Visitor groups are admitted on foot and then have to walk independently through the houses with different lead themes.
Will I manage to see all attractions?
We are constantly developing Traumatica and the event is growing so that we can always offer our guests something new. Due to the development and the enormous size of the event, it cannot be guaranteed that all attractions and shows can be visited in one evening.
We recommend the ShoxterPass to guarantee that you can visit all the scare attractions.
In order to increase the chance without a Shoxterpass, we recommend that you keep an eye on the waiting times. These can be seen on a number of screens throughout the Traumatica event space.
What are the waiting times all about?
We update the waiting times at regular intervals to make the visit more pleasant for our guests. As the flow of visitors is not always predictable, it is not possible for the waiting times to always be 100% accurate. These are intended as a rough guide.
What is the ShoxterPass?
The ShoxterPass is a fast-pass ticket with which each of the 7 attractions can be entered once via a separate queue with a short waiting time. The ShoxterPass queue entrances are located next to the regular queues for each attraction and are clearly marked.
There is also a separate queue for ShoxterPass holders at the main entrance to Traumatica - Festival of Fear. This is located after the green gate at the entrance to the event and is signposted on site. Shoxter Pass holders can therefore bypass the regular queue and proceed directly to the Shoxter Pass line.
Do I have to prepare in order to understand the Traumatica story world?
No, Traumatica is built in stages. You can visit and enjoy the event without any knowledge of the story.
It is true though, that the more you know about the story, the deeper you can dive into Traumatica and discover more specials/actors/teasers/Easter eggs. Information can be found on our website.
Can I buy food?
There are food and souvenir shops on site.
When does the show take place?
The Traumatica ice show takes place every evening at 9.00pm and 10.30pm in the Greek themed area. The show is included in all event tickets.
What is 'FEAR Inc.'?
FEAR Inc. is an immersive experience where you can immerse yourself in the story world of Traumatica.
FEAR Inc. is a full-contact experience where guests are also touched. The experience can be shared in groups or alone.
FEAR Inc. is not accessible and therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.
What is 'Eden Manor'?
The Eden Manor experience is a lounge/club format as part of the Traumatica After Hour, enhanced by show and an immersive world. The experience includes various theatrical, interactive and virtual surprises.
Eden Manor is NOT a scare attraction or horror experience but can be classified as a show experience.
Eden Manor is not barrier-free and therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.
Can 'FEAR Inc.' and 'Eden Manor' be done in one evening?
We do not recommend purchasing both tickets for one evening, as both experiences are intertwined and take place at the same and different locations. Thus, due to the partly simultaneous course of the experiences, neither of them can be used and experienced to the full.
The services included in the two tickets also differ.
What is ‘TAKEN’ and where can I get the tickets?
TAKEN' is a separate upgrade experience on the Traumatica site. This can be experienced by a maximum of two people and lasts approx. 20 minutes.
Tickets for the experience are available online.
TAKEN is not accessible and therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.
Will there be a Vampire's Club this year?
There will be no Vampire's Club at Traumatica this year. We're giving you a break for 2024 and have something new in store for you in 2025.
This year we are offering a midnight show in the Silverbullet Bar on all Fridays, Saturdays and Halloween (ATTENTION: can also take place after 00:00) where you can also enjoy cool drinks in a relaxed atmosphere!
Are shows or rides of Europa-Park open in the night?
The Curse of Cassandra and Curse of Cassandra VR illusion rides, Pegasus - The YoungStar rollercoaster and the Matterhorn-Blitz rollercoaster are open to event guests.
When shall I be there? When is the end of the event?
Admission to the event area is in the evening from 7.00pm. The admission area opens at 6.30pm. Ticket scanning at 6.45pm at the latest. Last admission to the Scare Attractions is at 11.30pm. Early arrival is recommended due to bag checks and the admission process. Waiting times must be expected.
"The Forbidden" Club is open until 3am.
What is 'The Forbidden'?
In 2025, ‘The Forbidden’ will replace the well-known ‘Vampire's Club’ as a new and unique club location.
As part of Traumatica - Festival of Fear's after-hours programme, you can enjoy cold drinks, a breathtaking show and wild beats until late into the night.
What if it rains?
The event is mainly outdoors. Some waiting areas are covered, but not all of them.
No stick umbrellas may be taken onto the premises, small foldable umbrellas are allowed.
Appropriate clothing is recommended, as guests are exposed to wind and weather on open terrain. The terrain is dusty when dry and muddy when wet. We do not recommend white shoes.
Can I come in fancy dress?
Guests in fancy dress or with painted faces have NO ACCESS to the event.
Where is the entrance to Traumatica?
The entrance to Traumatica is via a separate entrance, not Europa-Park's main entrance. Visitors park at the regular Europa-Park carpark. A parking ticket must be booked when booking entry tickets and costs €10.
After the pedestrian tunnel between the parking lot and the ticket offices of Europa-Park, follow the signs to Traumatica on the right. The path leads via a bicycle path to a separate entrance. Hotel guests can take the EP Express to the ‘Greece’ station from 7.15pm. There is an entrance gate set up there. Before 7.15pm, hotel guests will be taken to the ‘Germany’ station and can enter the grounds via the regular station.
Do I get a discount with a severely disabled ID card?
No, currently we do not have a separate rate for all persons with a severely disabled ID.
Wheelchair users pay a reduced admission price of €20.00 and may use the Shoxterpass entrance to the attractions. Tickets are only available on site at the box office. The relevant proof must be presented at the main entrance (disabled person's ID card with the G or aG mark). This only applies to the wheelchair user themselves, accompanying persons pay the regular price and require a ticket in advance. This is due to the fact that some attractions and the event site are difficult to visit in a wheelchair.
